NT-01M TEST

NT-01M
Test

Technical evaluation of the custom-developed NT-01M solid rocket booster. This test focuses on measuring the actual thrust profile and structural limits of the 3" 6-grain BATES propellant grain configuration against its design baseline of 141s ISP

Expected Outcome

The NT-01M static fire evaluation serves as a foundational milestone for the DIU Skyward propulsion division, focusing heavily on characterizing the performance dynamics of our custom-developed M-class solid rocket motor to verify theoretical simulations against empirical data. Utilizing a 3-inch diameter Aluminum 6061-T6 casing housing a 6-grain BATES propellant geometry, this test flight mission is engineered to map the actual thrust-time curve and evaluate internal ballistics under active firing conditions. Key technical objectives include monitoring structural heat soak across the casing, measuring nozzle throat erosion rates under high-velocity exhaust exposure, and validating that the configuration successfully achieves its targeted baseline efficiency of 141s ISP without exceeding the maximum expected operating pressure.
