On October 7, Bangladesh will host its first HPR-1 certified amateur rocket launch, Swadhinata 2.0, supported by Dhumketu X.
On October 7, the country’s first HPR-1 (High Power Rocketry Level 1) certified amateur rocket launch event, Swadhinata 2.0, is set to take place. The team “DIU Skyward,” consisting of students from the Software Engineering department of Daffodil International University, will participate as the only private university team in the competition.
Rocketry Bangladesh has announced that the Swadhinata 2.0 launch will test the rocket’s guidance, navigation, propulsion, and recovery systems. Maximum safety measures have been ensured throughout the launch. The event’s technical support is being provided by the country’s first aerospace company, “Dhumketu X.”
The participation of DIU Skyward sets a new example of technological and innovative capability among private university students. The team will work alongside students from public universities and ensure representation of private universities in the country’s rocketry research arena.
Students and enthusiasts interested in technology and space research are closely watching this launch. Swadhinata 2.0 is expected to open a new horizon in student-led rocket science and space research.
