Project Orion is our boldest initiative: developing a fully functional 1U CubeSat capable of surviving the extreme thermal and radiative environment of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) while executing an earth-observation mission.
Subsystem Architecture
POWER (EPS)
High-efficiency bodymounted solar arrays charging resilient battery banks, managed by intelligent power distribution nodes to ensure survival during eclipses.
THERMAL
Passive thermal control architectures using specialized coatings, multi-layer insulation (MLI), and conductive channeling to protect sensitive electronics.
ADCS
Attitude Determination and Control System utilizing magnetorquers and sun sensors to detumble the satellite post-deployment and point the payload.
